CEO opposes inquiry

MONTREAL - The head of engineering giant SNC-Lavalin said Monday a report on alleged corruption in Quebec's construction industry raises "troubling" issues, but not enough to warrant a public inquiry.  Pierre Duhaime said the report by former Montreal police chief Jacques Duchesneau was very broad and didn't substantiate allegations that have shaken the industry for nearly three years.  (CP)
